The building

It has been a while since anyone painted it

Sun on the west face, fog off the bay, and a few decades. The paint is past touching up. The whole property will take about $150,000 over several seasons, so we start with Phase One: $25,000 in gifts by the end of February, matched by the Lodge, and the first section gets painted in March.

The Lodge today: two stories of pale blue clapboard with white trim, seen from the parking lot.
Maple Lawn from the parking lot, summer 2026.
Rear door: paint lifting off the siding and trim
Corner boards worn through to bare wood
Window sill: cracked, chalking paint
Upper wall and eaves peeling in sheets
Siding and window frames on the upper level
Water staining where the paint has failed
Entry steps and foundation wall
Clapboard peeling down to the wood
Give

Give now. The Lodge doubles it.

Lodge members set aside $25,000 to match every gift, dollar for dollar. Give $100 and $200 goes on the wall. Reach $25,000 by the end of February and Phase One is fully funded.

Your name goes under the paint

Before the painters start, we’re opening the building to the people who funded it. Every donor is invited to sign the siding — on the wall itself, in the section about to be painted.

Write your name on the building

Before the painters start, every donor is invited to sign the siding. We’ll photograph you beside your name, and it stays under the new coat for as long as the paint lasts.
